MatchBrighton & Hove Albion v Liverpool: Team news
The striker has missed training due to a minor issue and could be forced to sit out of the trip to the south coast.
Jürgen Klopp detailed in his pre-match press conference on Friday morning: "If he cannot train today then, yes, that would rule him out.
“We are waiting for the latest information; it is not a major one, but it still kept him out of training. We have to wait for that."
The Reds will welcome James Milner and Stefan Bajcetic back into the squad after respective injury issues, though Roberto Firmino remains absent.
The manager added: "Millie, yesterday, did big parts of training and will be back in normal training today. Bobby not.
"Stefan will be back in training today. He was out, he got a knock on the hip bone, which is quite uncomfortable, but he will back as well and that's it pretty much."
On Firmino, Klopp continued: "I don't know exactly when he will be back, but he's not close to team training, no."
Luis Diaz, Diogo Jota, Virgil van Dijk and Arthur Melo remain sidelined.
Mohamed Salah is in line to play his 300th career game for an English club, with 19 of those coming in the colours of Chelsea.
Should the Egyptian find the net, he would become Liverpool’s leading scorer away from home in the Premier League era. He is currently on 55, alongside Michael Owen.
For Brighton, head coach Roberto De Zerbi reported on Friday he had no new injury concerns, though did confirm Leandro Trossard will not be involved in the game.
De Zerbi said: "Liverpool are a big, big team with one of the best coaches in Europe. We have to show respect but we have to try to win the game if we want to take a step forward."
