"Curtis Jones was in training yesterday, it looked good – but that's now the first session," Klopp told reporters. "He's then probably the closest.

"We have one new injury, it's Arthur Melo. In the last session before the Rangers game, in a normal situation he just injured a muscle. We have to wait for further assessment to know exactly how long it will be but he's out.

"Robbo is running a lot, looks like he's close."

Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain continue to be sidelined with their long-term injuries, though Joe Gomez could make his 150th appearance for the club.

Meanwhile, Mikel Arteta stated he would need to assess his Arsenal squad ahead of the 4.30pm BST kick-off.

The Spaniard made eight changes to the line-up that beat Tottenham Hotspur for Thursday's Europa League contest against Bodo/Glimt.

"We have another training session and we will know more tomorrow," Arteta said at his pre-match press conference on Friday.

However, the Gunners will definitely be without Emile Smith Rowe (groin) and Mohamed Elneny (hamstring).
