MatchArsenal v Liverpool: Team news
The No.11 was forced off due to a foot injury shortly after scoring in the Reds’ 2-0 win at Brighton & Hove Albion at the weekend, though Jürgen Klopp expects his leading goalscorer to be fit for Wednesday’s match.
Konate, meanwhile, has been absent from the last two games, but the boss announced on Tuesday that the defender is back.
However, James Milner and Kostas Tsimikas (both illness) are likely to miss the visit to Emirates Stadium.
“Looks like,” Klopp said, when asked if Salah will be available for selection.
“Mo is a tough cookie and he was only a little bit cut, we were quite lucky with it. It was swollen, painful, yesterday a little less swollen, less painful.
“Now I got the message before the press conference that Mo is ready to train and we will see how that looks.”
He later added: “Ibou is back. Millie and Kostas, I understand in this moment, are out, and that’s it.”
Arsenal’s only potential absentee is defender Takehiro Tomiyasu, who has been sidelined for their last six fixtures with a calf issue.
Mikel Arteta said on Tuesday: “Tomi is the only one that’s still there in contention [to miss the match].
“We have been trying to push him, but with the handbrake a little bit because we need to be careful as we don’t want to get another injury with him. We don’t know [if Wednesday is too soon]. Let’s see how he trains today.”
