LFC continues to provide mental health support for fans
Liverpool Football Club would like to remind fans of our mental health toolkit, which offers support to fans suffering the ongoing effects of the events surrounding the Champions League final, following the publication of UEFA's Independent Panel Report.
Having worked closely with our Foundation and Liverpool’s director of public health, Matt Ashton, LFC developed the resource, which is available to access here, for supporters in the wake of distressing events in Paris.
The club continues to work with a number of expert mental health organisations and has pledged financial assistance for those organisations already in high demand and wishes to reassure supporters that expert help continues to be available.
Billy Hogan, LFC chief executive, said: “It’s vitally important that supporters know there is help out there if they feel they need it.
“Working together with a number of expert mental health organisations, and with the support of Matt Ashton’s expertise, this resource is still available to all fans.
“It not only signposts people where to go for support but also offers advice to those dealing with the ongoing effects of such a distressing event.”
A landing page continues to be available on the LFC Foundation website signposting fans requesting specialist help from partnering organisations.
