NewsAnfield to host LFC Women's Merseyside derby clash with Everton
The Barclays Women’s Super League fixture will take place on Sunday October 15 at 2pm BST, with the kick-off time subject to change if the game is selected for TV broadcast.
More than 27,000 were in attendance at Anfield when the two sides met last September, with the visitors emerging victorious on that evening.
Reds manager Matt Beard is delighted fans will have the opportunity to see another huge women’s game on Merseyside, especially following the exploits of England in reaching the final of the Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
“It’s a fantastic game for us to look forward to,” said Beard. “I’m sure everyone has been thrilled to watch England do so well in the World Cup so this is a wonderful opportunity for the fans to come together for a massive game right here on Merseyside.
“Anfield was a terrific experience with a wonderful crowd last year and of course we’ll be looking to draw upon the experience of last year and learn from that.”
Tickets for the fixture will cost just £10 for adults, with kids (U18s) and concessions paying just £1. Tickets are available to purchase here.
The stadium will be sold stand by stand according to demand, with lower sections of the Sir Kenny Dalglish Stand and the Anfield Road away section going on sale first.
LFC Women season ticket holders are entitled to a free seat, while a priority sale will also be held for Anfield season ticket holders and LFC Official Members.
