ReactionAlexis Mac Allister: We played a fantastic game - but there's still room to improve
The midfielder was part of the dominant display by Arne Slot's side at Anfield that led to a 2-0 victory over the Bees.
Luis Diaz got the Reds off and running in the 13th minute and he then set up Mohamed Salah for the hosts' deserved second after half-time.
"I think we played a fantastic game," Mac Allister told Sky Sports post-match. "The team gave everything – you could see that from the first minute today.
"Today we played a very good game in possession and without the ball as well. [I'm] really pleased.
"We know that there is still room for improvement. I think we are in a transition because sometimes we should be patient but instead we are quite direct, let's say.
"But we are in that transition [and] I think everyone is happy and working very hard to get into Arne's idea."
It's been a hugely encouraging start to the 2024-25 Premier League season from Slot's men, producing six points from six and back-to-back clean sheets.
They are looking to maintain their perfect start when they head to Manchester United this coming Sunday.
On the platform created ahead of the trip to Old Trafford, Mac Allister said: "Really important. We know that against Man United it's a derby, it's a really important game for the club and for us.
"We will prepare during the week and we will do our best to win that game."
