ReactionAlexis Mac Allister: I'm really happy with my goal and the three points
The midfielder netted the Reds' second at Gtech Community Stadium not long into the second half, following up Darwin Nunez's 35th-minute opener.
Clinical finishes from substitutes Mohamed Salah and Cody Gakpo then wrapped up the victory for Jürgen Klopp's side, who remain top of the Premier League.
"You can see how much it means to us to win football games – that's what we try, what we want," Mac Allister told TNT Sports post-match.
"I think we came to a place where everyone knows that it is very tough. We are very happy to get the three points and we move on."
For his goal, Mac Allister darted into the Brentford penalty area and met Salah's well-executed pass before poking the ball beyond goalkeeper Mark Flekken.
The 25-year-old analysed: "When I was in Argentina I used to play as a No.10, so I know what the position means. I try to score and assist – that's very important.
"I'm really happy with my goal and the most important thing, of course, is the three points.
"I always say that my idea is to understand football and be helpful for the team wherever they need me. It doesn't matter if it's six, 10, nine, whatever, I try to do my best. I'm feeling really good."
Salah, who came on to replace the injured Diogo Jota prior to half-time, was involved again when he made it 3-0 to the visitors in minute 68.
It marked an emphatic return for the Egyptian on his comeback from the injury he picked up at the Africa Cup of Nations.
"He's amazing and I'm very happy for him," Mac Allister said of Salah. "He's been out and he's been a little bit frustrated about it. But he came back and in just a couple of minutes he scored and assisted.
"He's an amazing player, an amazing leader for us, very important. I'm very happy for him."
