NewsAdrian returns to Real Betis after Liverpool departure
The Spaniard bid farewell to the Reds at the weekend after the expiry of his contract, having enjoyed a five-year spell at Anfield.
Signed in August 2019, Adrian debuted just four days later and then played a vital role as the UEFA Super Cup was lifted via a penalty shootout against Chelsea in Istanbul.
The stopper featured in 11 Premier League games during his debut season as Jürgen Klopp’s team won the title with 99 points.
In total, Adrian appeared 26 times for Liverpool, with his last outing coming in July 2022 during a 3-1 FA Community Shield win over Manchester City.
He now returns to La Liga side Betis, with whom he began his professional career.
Everyone at LFC thanks Adrian for his contributions to the Reds and wishes him and his family the very best for the future.
