Read on for our pick of the pre-match statistics before Klopp’s men face Ange Postecoglou’s team…

Liverpool have lost just one of their last 29 home league matches against Tottenham (19 wins, nine draws), a 2-0 defeat in May 2011.

Mohamed Salah has had a hand in nine goals across his last 13 league appearances versus Spurs (eight goals, one assist).

Luis Diaz, meanwhile, has scored in each of his two Premier League games against Tottenham at Anfield.

A win on Sunday would take Klopp past 700 points totalled in the Premier League during his time at Liverpool. He currently has 698 from 331 fixtures.

Since the start of the 2015-16 season, the Reds have not lost a league match at Anfield in the month of May (nine wins, four draws).

Last season's Anfield league meeting

Liverpool (three) v Tottenham (three) has had six 90th-minute winners in the Premier League, the most of any fixture in the competition’s history.

Son Heung-min has scored in each of his last four Premier League appearances against the Reds.

Only two fixtures in the Premier League era have seen more goals than Liverpool v Tottenham (185) – Arsenal v Liverpool (190) and Newcastle United v Tottenham (186).

A Salah goal in this game would be his ninth in the league against Spurs, which would pass the club record of eight also held by Roger Hunt, Sir Kenny Dalglish and Ian Rush.

Trent Alexander-Arnold made his Reds debut versus Tottenham at Anfield in a League Cup tie in October 2016.

This will be Klopp’s 236th and penultimate match at Anfield as Liverpool manager. He has won 165 so far, for a win ratio of 70 per cent.

Spurs have scored in all but three of their 34 league games this season – failing to find the net in defeats at Fulham and Newcastle in recent weeks and at Chelsea on Thursday.

Only the top three teams have scored more away goals in the league this season than Tottenham’s 31.
