Red Star Belgrade v Liverpool: Live matchday blog
Liverpool suffered a 2-0 defeat to Red Star Belgrade in Serbia as Milan Pavkov's first-half brace secured victory for the home side in Champions League Group C.
Klopp: “We were not surprised by Red Star’s tactics. In Liverpool we controlled the game, tonight we didn’t. We made life a bit too easy tonight, that’s the problem. They deserved it for the passion they showed.”
Klopp: “We have to admit - congratulations Red Star, it was well deserved. They have the three points, we have nothing."
Klopp: “We tried to change for the second half. We had moments, we had kind of nearly-chances, the biggest in the last two three minutes and before that not enough.”
Klopp: “The start was intense, that was clear. Red Star wanted to strike back, which they did. We had the first big chance with Daniel, a very big one. Each goal in a game like this leads the game in a specific direction.”
Jürgen Klopp has arrived for his post-match press conference in Belgrade.
Here's how Group C looks after that result, with Napoli and Paris Saint-Germain still to play later this evening.

U19s beat Red Star to seal top-two finish
It's all over in today's Youth League match in Belgrade - and Liverpool registered a 2-0 win over Red Star, thanks to second-half goals from Curtis Jones and Adam Lewis.
That victory means Barry Lewtas' unbeaten side are guaranteed a top-two finish in Group C and will qualify for the last 16 automatically should they avoid defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in France later this month.

Three years in Europe with Klopp
Yesterday marked the three-year anniversary of Klopp's first European victory with the Reds, a 1-0 result at Rubin Kazan.
And, asked about the milestone during the flight to Serbia for his latest continental tie, the boss reflected on the highs and lows since - and insisted Liverpool can dream big again...
"So far when we were involved in a European competition we were in the final - let's carry on like this… or try!" he told Liverpoolfc.com.
"It's getting more and more difficult but big things are still possible. So far it was absolutely OK, it was really interesting."
Three key battles

An atmosphere awaits
Much of the conversation at Klopp's pre-match press conference centred on the atmosphere awaiting Liverpool at the Rajko Mitic Stadium tonight.
The boss respects the influence Red Star's fans will try to have on the game but believes he knows the solution for his team.
"Atmosphere… we are from Liverpool so we know how big the influence can be," he said.
"The only way I know to cool the atmosphere down is playing really good football. That's what we have to try; to be ready for a fight and ready for a big game.
"We will be ready, that's the only thing I can make sure of. Then the boys have to do the job on the pitch, of course."
Team news
Neither manager was giving much away ahead of the game about potential team selections but we do know a little about who could be involved.
Liverpool are without Nathaniel Clyne, Jordan Henderson and Xherdan Shaqiri but were able to include Naby Keita and Dejan Lovren in their 21-man travelling squad after injury.
Red Star have Marko Marin available again but Richmond Boakye remains a doubt; goalkeeper Milan Borjan was left out of their league match last weekend as a precaution
