Original Publish Date - 18th August 2020
Liverpool FC’s International Academy Cyprus has expanded its operation in to Limassol. The Champions of England will now deliver player development programs to young players in both Nicosia and Limassol, Cyprus’s second largest city.
The Academy in Limassol will start with programs for children aged 4 to 12 at the Stadium of Polemidia and will soon after expand into a training facility within the centre of the city offering a unique opportunity for young people to learn to play ‘The Liverpool Way’. The program will provide young payers with the opportunity to improve their football skills and develop in the technical, tactical, physical, mental and social aspects of the game through the specific training offered at each age.
Through Liverpool FC's unique methods, emphasis will also be placed on player development both on and off the pitch, with particular focus on improving participant life skills, such as communication, teamwork and leadership. Liverpool FC will continue to send coaches to Cyprus as part of the monitoring and support of the Academy's programs throughout the year.
