Samed Yesil was among the first signings of Brendan Rodgers' managerial reign but saw his four-year stay with Liverpool regularly disrupted by injury.
Signed from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer of 2012, the striker – a prolific goalscorer at youth level – did not have to wait long for a senior Reds debut.
It came in a League Cup tie at West Bromwich Albion that September, and was followed by another start at Anfield in the next round against Swansea City.
But the misfortune of repeated injury issues stopped Yesil from grasping any further chances, though he remained a lethal finisher when fit to feature for the U21s.
He joined Swiss side FC Luzern on a season-long loan deal in August 2015 before bidding farewell to Liverpool once his contract expired the next summer.
