Ben Woodburn became the youngest goalscorer in Liverpool history at 17 years and 45 days in November 2016.

<p>The precocious midfielder had risen through the ranks with the Reds and graduated to the senior team from the Academy.</p><p>He debuted as a late substitute against Sunderland on November 26, 2016 and three days later netted his record-breaking goal in front of the Kop during a League Cup tie against Leeds United.</p><p>A Wales international, Woodburn went on to total 11 appearances for the club over the next 18 months, before having loan spells with Sheffield United, Oxford United, Blackpool and Hearts.</p><p>He departed Liverpool when his contract expired during the summer of 2022 and subsequently joined Preston North End.</p>
