The Reds' fanbase is famous for its passion and loyalty, cheering on both Jürgen Klopp and Matt Beard's squads whether on Merseyside or watching from afar.

Our We Love You Liverpool feature aims to bring supporters closer together to learn more about each other wherever they are based around the globe.

Whether in the UK and Republic of Ireland, on Merseyside itself, in North or South America, Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia or elsewhere, fans provide the very foundations that the club is built on.

Tell us about the OLSC…

Our branch OLSC Germany – or German Reds – was founded on May 16, 2001, the day when Liverpool won a spectacular final in the UEFA Cup against CD Alaves.

Currently we have 430 members in our branch. Our members are located everywhere in Germany from north to south and east to west. Therefore, we have an annual meeting and party every year for all members who would like to meet.

How special is it to have the supporters club where you are?

The annual meeting is definitely our highlight. Sometimes we have been able to invite former players to our meetings, for example Didi Hamann or Jan Molby. There is always live music and lots of fun and good food. It's nice to be able to meet with the many members from different regions of Germany.

Additionally, some members are watching Liverpool games from time to time in the region where they live, in Berlin, Hamburg or Munich etc.

Do you hold any special events?

We hold a raffle twice a year, once at our annual meeting and once in the run-up to Christmas. We donate the proceeds to LFC Foundation, the JC23 Foundation and the foodbanks. It is important to us not only to celebrate Liverpool FC victories together, but also to support those who are not doing so well economically. We know that our donations are in good hands with the mentioned foundations, as they do very good and important work.

What is your favourite memory together as an OLSC?

We are always very happy when we get the opportunity to get tickets for games at Anfield, as you can imagine. These lucky members always enjoy the match as a group and having fun around the game in Liverpool as well – we love Liverpool and Scousers, of course.
