We Support
Alder Hey Children’s Charity
Alder Hey is one of Europe’s biggest and busiest children’s hospitals, caring for over 330,000 children, young people, and their families every year.
The LFC Foundation’s MOVE programme with Alder Hey uses the power of football and the LFC badge to appeal to young Cystic Fibrosis (CF), Asthma and Endocrine patients; encouraging them to partake in physical activity, not only to improve their quality of life, but critically to help increase their life expectancy.
IntoUniversity & University of Liverpool
Our joint project supports children and young people in North Liverpool from disadvantaged backgrounds to reach their educational potential by providing a dedicated learning centre, after-school clubs, homework support and mentoring schemes.
Each year, the North Liverpool centre provides over 1000 local young people with a programme of personal and educational support that includes weekly after-school academic support, one-to-one mentoring, and targeted workshops across primary and secondary schools.
LFC Foundation Fowler Academy
Liverpool FC’s official charity, LFC Foundation have joined forces with Robbie Fowler’s Education and Football Academy (FEFA) to create the LFC Foundation and Fowler Academy Partnership.
FEFA, who are nationally recognised as specialists in football and education, offer a range of football and educational opportunities for young people aged 16 - 19 to prepare them for their next career step.
NSPCC
The LFC Foundation has teamed up with the NSPCC to help improve the lives of children across the city region – forming the first official partnership of its kind between the children’s charity and a Premier League club foundation.
Our work together to supports even more children and families across the city region, signposting them towards resources and help they might need, educating adults, parents and supporters with advice on how to spot signs that something might not be right for young people in their area.
Owen McVeigh Foundation
This foundation has been set up in memory of Owen McVeigh who was only 11 years old when he passed away after a short diagnosis with leukaemia. The purpose of the charity is to raise funds to help and enrich the lives of children who are ill with cancer and their families in the local area.
The LFC Foundation has help fund the refurbishment of Peacock Lodge, a very special respite facility in the Lake District, and fun days out in the local area to help families make memories together.
23 Foundation
LFC Legend, Jamie Carragher, established the 23 Foundation in 2009 to make positive difference to the young people of Merseyside, giving them a chance to succeed in life.
As well as supporting sick, disabled, and disadvantaged children, the 23 Foundation also helps community organisations and not-for profit organisations that support and provide services for young people.
Zoë's Place Baby Hospice
Zoë's Place Baby Hospice exists to provide a variety of palliative and respite services to support families of babies with life limiting or life-threatening illnesses.
It is a 6-bed hospice, and is the only one in the UK that caters specifically for babies, with the age range of 0-5 years.
The LFC Foundation donated £50,000 to the Liverpool hospice in 2019.
