Augsburg v Liverpool: Important pre-sales ticket notice
Liverpool have released the following important pre-sales ticket notice for the Europa League away game against FC Augsburg on Thursday February 18.
As part of the club’s ongoing commitment to improve the way match tickets are sold and allocated, a new ticket collection process will be trialled for the Europa League away game against FC Augsburg on Thursday February 18.
Supporters who purchase tickets for this game will be required to collect their ticket from a designated collection point in Augsburg town centre.
We are not changing the way we sell the tickets, the sales will still be based on attendance at previous games and supporters will be able to assign the name of the person using the ticket at the point of purchase however, tickets will not be distributed at the point of sale from the ticket office or posted to supporters.
All tickets must be collected in person from the collection point in Augsburg on the day of the game.
Over the last few seasons an increasing number of tickets have not been used or sold on via touts. Liverpool FC is committed to ensuring that match tickets are used correctly and that travelling supporters are able to purchase directly from the club. Above all, the safety of our travelling supporters comes first.
How do I collect if I am travelling to the game and using my own ticket?
You will need to present your passport, your Season Ticket /Member or Fan Card and a copy of your purchase confirmation email in Augsburg on the day of the game.
When purchasing tickets from the ticket office or online, it is important that you provide us with your name as it appears on your passport. There will be an opportunity to provide this information during the transaction.
We will not be able to make any changes to the booking once the purchase is complete.
If a number of tickets are purchased in one transaction, there will be an opportunity to assign individual supporter names to each ticket.
Each individual ticket must be collected by the supporter whose name is registered against each ticket; no exceptions.
How do I collect if I am travelling to the game using somebody else's ticket?
To ensure we can issue you a ticket at the ticket collection point in Augsburg, your name how it appears on your passport must be provided by the supporter making the booking.
There will be an opportunity for them to provide this information during the transaction.
We will not be able to make any changes to the booking once the purchase is complete.
When collecting your ticket in Augsburg, you must present your passport, your Season Ticket/Member/Fan card (if you have one) and a letter of authorisation from the ‘purchaser’ to validate the collection.
The letter, similar to the one provided here, must include - name, address, Season Ticket/Member/Fan Card number and signature of the person who purchased the ticket and your name, address, Season Ticket/Member/Fan card (if you have one).
Liverpool FC has received an allocation of 1,158 tickets for this fixture priced at £26 each.
