talkSPORT: Alonso to return?

Former Liverpool favourite Xabi Alonso has not yet considered signing a new deal with Real Madrid.

Alonso, who spent five memorable years at Liverpool, has been linked with a return to Anfield when his contract expires next year.

The 31-year-old is still a mainstay in the heart of Real Madrid's midfield but he has recently admitted going back to England before he retires is something that appeals to him.

And, when asked whether he is ready to commit his future to Real, Alonso said: "Renewing is not something I am thinking about at the moment.

"It's not on the table but everything has its time."
