Sky Sports: Zarate on Reds' radar

Sky Sports understands that a number of Premier League sides are keen on bringing Lazio striker Mauro Zarate back to England.

Zarate enjoyed a productive loan spell at Birmingham in 2008, with his efforts at St Andrew's helping to earn him a move to Italy.

The Argentine frontman made a bright start to life in Serie A, but has struggled for goals of late.

Lazio are keen to move him on, freeing up funds and space in their squad.

At the age of 25 there is still plenty of football left in Zarate and a move to England could help to reignite his career.

The likes of Sunderland, Stoke and Liverpool are all said to have cast an eye in Zarate's direction.

Why is it that every player we are linked with is also linked to southampton, stoke,Accrington stanley???....We need to add QUALITY!!!
