Daily Mirror: Agent confirms Liverpool interest

Jeffren's agent has confirmed that Liverpool are tracking the Sporting Lisbon winger.

While Jeffren has cropped up on the Anfield radar before, his representative Jorge Llagostera now claims the Reds are one of a number of Premier League clubs interested in his client.

The Spaniard has not been a success at Sporting since joining from Barcelona last year and the Portuguese club would consider offers for him in January.

Llagostera said: "Yes. Liverpool and other Premier League clubs are monitoring the kid.

"But, formally, we have still not received an offer to negotiate with Sporting."

I am still doubtful about Jeffren, specially considering how he has performed recently with the portuguese outfit. Why not try to go for Mertens or Tello who should be surely more profitable investments?
