Liverpool have entered the race to sign Inter Milan outcast Wesley Sneijder during the January transfer window.
La Gazzetta dello Sport claim that the Reds are keen on pulling off a cut-price deal for the 28-year-old, but other clubs are also likely to join in when the race heats up.
Sneijder and the Serie A club are entrenched in a bitter contract dispute after he refused to sign a new deal with reduced wages.
Inter coach Andrea Stramaccioni has since refused to play the former Real Madrid man, with a number of clubs around Europe being linked with his services.
Manchester United, Schalke and Tottenham have all been reportedly interested in Sneijder, but Gazzetta believe Brendan Rodgers' team can be considered serious contenders for his signature.
