Jonas Hector on interest from Liverpool
Germany defender Jonas Hector says he is happy at FC Koln - but has admitted that he could be interested in a summer move to Liverpool.
The Koln left-back is in pole position to start for his country at Euro 2016 this summer, having impressed Germany coach Jogi Low in the Bundesliga during the last two years.
Hector, 25, has been linked with a move to Anfield, as Jurgen Klopp looks to make his mark on the Reds.
Hector has just over two years left on his contract at the RheinEnergie Stadion, and while he says he is happy with his current club - who sit ninth in the German league - he admits a call from Klopp could change things.
Speaking in an interview with Eurosport, when asked about reported interest from the Reds, Hector responded: "You always have to consider whether you are ready to take the next step. But at the moment I am not thinking about it.
"I think what we have to do at FC Koln is enough. I also have with the national team a big tournament ahead of us."
However, when asked if a call from Klopp could persuade him to change his mind, Hector admitted: "Then I would start to think about it."
Hector is contracted to Koln until 2018 and is valued at around £12million by the German club.
He is likely to start against England in Berlin on Saturday evening and is looking forward to Germany's double-header with the Three Lions and Italy.
"For me, these meetings are good tests against strong teams. I am looking forward to the two matches in Berlin and Munich."
