Illarramendi free to leave
Real Madrid are reportedly ready to offload Liverpool target Asier Illarramendi.
Illarramendi has been heavily linked with a move to Anfield this summer after struggling to gain a regular place at the Bernabeu for the past two seasons.
While the midfielder had hoped the appointment of Rafael Benitez could result in more starting opportunities this term, the new Bernabeu boss has indicated Illarramendi will be a back-up to Toni Kroos and Luka Modric.
The Metro suggest the 25-year-old is now free to leave the club after receiving an offer from Brendan Rodgers’ side.
