Loan watch: Jay strikes in Bolton win

Jay Spearing netted a fine strike during Bolton's 3-2 win at Barnsley in the Championship on Saturday.

The on-loan midfielder played the full 90 minutes and struck a sweet effort from 20 yards out.

Former Red David Ngog was also on the mark for Dougie Freedman's outfit.

Elsewhere, Andy Carroll went the distance as West Ham United won 1-0 away at Stoke City.

Up in Scotland, there was disappointment for Michael Ngoo and Danny Wilson who both played the full 90 minutes as Hearts lost 2-1 at home to Motherwell in the SPL.

On Friday, Jack Robinson played the whole game as Wolves grabbed an injury-time equaliser against Gianfranco Zola's Watford at Molineux.

Meanwhile in Spain, Dani Pacheco is scheduled to be in action for SD Huesca in their home clash with Alcorcon on Sunday.

It's better Jay stays at Bolton. He gets enough match time. Liverpool is filled with too many midfielders currently. You will always have the blessings and praise of all Liverpool fans. YNWA
