Jamie Carragher's son does not adorn his Liverpool shirt with the name of his father – he prefers Reds midfielder Philippe Coutinho.
The Brazilian has been a creative force for the club since arriving in January from Inter Milan and was the most popular name for fans to have on our new Warrior kits earlier this summer.
Figures revealed last week showed that Steven Gerrard had regained top spot in that particular contest, with the recently retired Carragher still placing high in third.
"That is interesting, that will obviously be a first," the 35-year-old told BBC Radio Merseyside.
"It also shows how well Coutinho has gone down since he has been at the club. The supporters have really taken to him and even my son has got his number on the back.
"When he was a baby he had my name, but that went out a few years ago.
"When he started going to the games I think he realised there were a few better players in the side who he wanted on the back of his shirt than me."
Following his final appearance for Liverpool in May, the former No.23 has moved into punditry for the new campaign - and he has already been impressed by Gerrard.
He added: "He's very good - he had an operation towards the end of last season on his shoulder. That was to make sure he got ready for pre-season, which he has.
"He has looked superb in pre-season, very fresh. He's the captain of Liverpool Football Club, he's the leader of that team and I'm sure that will be the same again this season."
