Daniel Sturridge scored after just seven minutes of his Liverpool debut against Mansfield on Sunday - but he wasn't the fastest player to have made the net bulge on his first outing in a red shirt.
And so here at Liverpoolfc.com we enlisted the help of club statistician Ged Rea, who trawled through the history books to produce a list of the 10 quickest players to score on their Reds debut.
The list he has pulled together spans from the end of the Second World War right up to Sturridge's strike at the weekend and includes four goals since the year 2000.
The fact that the entries date all the way back to 1946 means times can only be narrowed down to the minute of the goal.
Therefore, there have been several ties and in these instances we have ranked the scorer whose debut came first. Click the arrow below to click through our countdown of Liverpool's Kop 10 fastest debut scorers.
