Liverpool must use the same levels of fight and character in their next must-win fixture, Thiago Alcantara has stressed.

The Reds head to Turf Moor on Wednesday evening to face Burnley following the unforgettable conclusion to the weekend's victory at West Bromwich Albion.

Alisson Becker's sublime 95th-minute header gave Jürgen Klopp's side a vital three points as they continue to push for a place in the Premier League top four with two games remaining.

"First of all, we have to face Burnley there, it will be a tough game," Thiago told Liverpoolfc.com post-match at The Hawthorns. "I think that's our final, not the next one, but that one is the most important.

"I think we were very emotional with this situation because of all we have been through, mostly Ali as well with his situation.

"So we are very glad for the game we made but even more happier for him.

"That's football. As I say always, you can have not your day but win, and you can have an amazing day and lose. It's football.

"At the end, we created chances, we deserved that last goal as well, so we are very happy with it."

Liverpool came from behind to earn the victory at West Brom, with Mohamed Salah equalising in the 33rd minute after Hal Robson-Kanu's opener.

The visitors pushed hard for a winner throughout the second half but appeared to be heading for a frustrating draw until Alisson's heroics.

Thiago continued: "All of us tried [to score] but we have in front of us great goalkeepers and they save our chances and that's it. Sometimes it goes in and sometimes not.

"We just looked at the clock at the end, last minute, when they just gave four minutes and we said, 'OK, now we are creating chances and chances and chances and it doesn't come through.'

"But at the end, look at that – that's football. I'm happy."
