Gallery: Liverpool hit six against Watford to go top of the table
A breathtaking attacking display saw Liverpool defeat Watford 6-1 at Anfield and move top of the Premier League this afternoon.
Sadio Mane's brilliant glancing header put the Reds ahead midway through the first half, and further goals from Philippe Coutinho and Emre Can made it 3-0 at half-time.
Jürgen Klopp's side picked up where they left off after the break, with Roberto Firmino and Mane putting them five goals to the good by the hour.
Daryl Janmaat pulled one back for Watford with 15 minutes to play, but Georginio Wijnaldum's first Liverpool goal in injury time rounded off a hugely impressive performance by the Premier League's new leaders.
