Lovren: Reds' discipline key to Dortmund draw
Dejan Lovren declared himself satisfied with Liverpool's performance after they held Borussia Dortmund to a 1-1 draw on Thursday evening.
And the Croatian warned BVB's stars that they will feel like they are playing against 12 men in the return leg of the sides' Europa League quarter-final tie thanks to Anfield's famous atmosphere.
Lovren was a colossus at the back as Jürgen Klopp's men battled their way to a share of the spoils in a match that saw Divock Origi net a potentially important away goal before Mats Hummels levelled matters.
And it was the defensive discipline shown in conceding just once at the hands of a dangerous attack that particularly satisfied the No.6.
"We knew it would be a tough game, they were keeping the ball really well," he told BT Sport.
"We had a couple of chances in the first half maybe to kill them but in the end I would say it was a good result for us with an away goal.
"We need to do even better at Anfield, definitely, but I'm satisfied today.
"It was a great job from everyone today, we had great discipline in defence - all 11 players.
"It was quite noisy, we couldn't hear each other, but it was a great defensive job."

But, while Lovren is expecting a white-hot reception from supporters back on Merseyside in a week's time, he knows there is room for improvement from him and his teammates.
"With our supporters we have a man more on the pitch," he enthused.
"It will be a great game again, it was great tonight, but we need to play better and keep the ball more than tonight. I'm confident in our team."
