Reds bring Xtra social platform to fans
Liverpool FC and social media platform, Vixlet, today officially relaunched LFC Xtra as the ultimate social portal for Reds fans.
The global partnership with Vixlet transforms the club’s LFC Xtra magazine website into a next generation social network, available for iOS and Android devices and online by clicking here.
LFC Xtra now gives fans the ability to show their passion for the club in fun and unique ways through Vixlet innovations called Capsules. They can unite in this new home by posting their own stories, following news on players, viewing exclusive content and personalising the platform to create their own LFC world.
Billy Hogan, chief commercial officer of Liverpool FC, said: “Vixlet is a social network like no other and we’re delighted they have become a partner enabling us to bring a brand new social portal to our fans. LFC Xtra will be the place for our fans around the world to interact with the club and each other like never before.”
Krishna Gopala and Lisa Gopala, co-founders of Vixlet, added: “Liverpool FC marks the first ever football club on Vixlet and we are thrilled to welcome its incredibly rich history of achievements and very passionate fanbase. The entire LFC team demonstrates every single day its place as a market leader in technology and sports entertainment. We look forward to transforming the fan experience for the team.”
The LFC Xtra app will be available for fans to download immediately at the Apple App Store and on Google Play.
To celebrate the relaunch, fans can win a home shirt personalised by a player of their choice and a Reds goody bag worth £200. To be within a chance of winning, simply register at LFC Xtra.
