Liverpool v Lyon: Live match blog
Liverpool rounded off their pre-season friendly programme with a 3-1 win over Lyon in Geneva.
Roberto Firmino and Harry Wilson were on the mark for the Reds, with those strikes sandwiching an own goal by Joachim Andersen.
Full Time
It’s all over and an impressive display sees Liverpool make a welcome return to winning ways ahead of Sunday’s FA Community Shield clash with Manchester City.
The Reds had to overcome the early setback of conceding a fourth-minute penalty to Memphis Depay, with Roberto Firmino’s excellent finish levelling matters before an own goal by Lyon’s Joachim Andersen put Jürgen Klopp’s team ahead.
Harry Wilson then completed the scoring with a stunning long-range drive in the early stages of the second half on a satisfying evening when Alisson Becker, Naby Keita, Xherdan Shaqiri, Mohamed Salah and Firmino all made their returns.
Next up, Wembley.
Close!
Alexander-Arnold curls a free-kick towards the bottom corner, but the ball brushes the side-netting on its way wide.
Van Dijk sends an inch-perfect, raking pass out to Alexander-Arnold, who tees up the onrushing Henderson on the edge of the box.
The skipper attempts to roll a side-footer into the far corner, but is denied by the 'keeper.
Lovely football again from Liverpool.
Alert defending by Robertson, who blocks Kitala's shot after a ball in from the Lyon left.
Elliott's looked lively since his introduction and the 16-year-old stings the palms of the Lyon stopper with a powerful strike from range.
Neat link-up between Elliott, Oxlade-Chamberlain and Wijnaldum ends with the latter shooting from distance, but his effort is gathered by the Lyon 'keeper.
Substitution
An entirely new Liverpool team is on for the final half an hour or so.
The Reds' side is now: Mignolet, Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson, Fabinho, Wijnaldum, Henderson, Elliott, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Origi.
Wow, what a goal that is!
Wilson takes aim from all of 25 yards and sends a dipping, swerving shot into Lopes' top corner.
An incredible strike to put the Reds 3-1 up!
Goal
WILSON!!!
Van den Berg is partnering Lovren at centre-back, with Gomez shifting over to right-back.
Lewis is playing in central midfield, while Duncan is on the right of the front three.

Half Time
There goes the half-time whistle, and Liverpool lead Lyon 2-1 at the break.
After what can only be described as a nightmarish start, with Alisson conceding a penalty that Depay scored within the opening four minutes, the Reds played well and deserve to be in front.
A fine finish by the returning Firmino drew Liverpool level, before Andersen’s own goal made it 2-1.
Salah is one-on-one with Denayer as he tries to work an opening for a shot, but the No.11's touch lets him down and the chance is gone.
After an inauspicious start, Liverpool have really grown into this game and Wilson forces Lopes to save a fierce drive from 20 yards out.
Substitution
A couple of early changes for Liverpool, as James Milner and Rhian Brewster replace Xherdan Shaqiri and Roberto Firmino.
Own Goal
Joachim Andersen puts through his own net and Liverpool lead!
The Lyon defender slices his attempted clearance of Ki-Jana Hoever's cross into the top corner.
And there's the equaliser!
The ball breaks to Firmino in the box and our No.9 swivels and hits a left-footed snap-shot that finds the bottom corner.
Superb finish from the returning Brazilian.
Goal
FIRMINO!!!
Lovren strides forward and finds Salah with a lofted pass out to the right.
The Egyptian cuts inside onto his left foot to shoot but then slices across the ball, which finds the stand.
The Reds have responded well to going a goal down, but Depay has just wriggled free of Gomez and curled a shot over the bar from 20 yards.
At the other end, Salah wins a corner, which Shaqiri overhits while seeking Gomez's head.
Liverpool have lined up in their usual 4-3-3 formation, with Adam Lallana operating as the 'No.6' as part of a midfield three alongside Naby Keita and Xherdan Shaqiri.
Harry Wilson is playing on the left of the front three, with Roberto Firmino central and Mohamed Salah on the right.
Off the post!
Harry Wilson's shot is deflected onto the woodwork after some nice build-up play by the Reds. The Welshman was slipped in by Yasser Larouci.
