Full Time
A satisfying afternoon's work for the Reds, who take all three points thanks to first-half goals from Alberto Moreno and Daniel Sturridge, plus Divock Origi's double after the break. Bojan headed in what proved to be a consolation for the Potters. Job done.
Two minutes of stoppage-time to be played.
Adam Lallana is afforded space in a central area and the Kop urges him to shoot, and he does - but the blast takes a deflection and loops away.
Substitution
Last sub by the visitors - Marc Muniesa is on for Erik Pieters.
Substitution
Final switch for the Reds as Lucas Leiva returns from injury in place of Joe Allen.
Substitution
Changes for Stoke - Mame Biram Diouf and Joselu replace Xherdan Shaqiri and Bojan.
The Kop is singing his name again... Divock Origi makes up for that earlier miss by gliding inside from the left touchline and curling an unexpected finish through a pack of bodies and into the far bottom corner.
Goal
GOAL!! Divock Origi!!
Substitution
Second change by the boss - Adam Lallana replaces Roberto Firmino.
Divock Origi should really have a second. Sublime footwork by Daniel Sturridge tees up Alberto Moreno to whip yet another cross into the middle, but the in-form Belgian diverts wide to the right.
Now Roberto Firmino forces Jakob Haugaard into a reaction stop at his near post, having skipped around his marker and let fly from a narrowing angle. Unlucky.
Stoke remain a threat and an inventive set-piece routine gives Geoff Cameron a chance to flick a reverse header on target, but Simon Mignolet is equal to it with an impressive save.
Almost a freak fourth goal for Liverpool after Roberto Firmino charged down Erik Pieters and sent his attempted clearance towards the net - but just over.
That didn't take long! Divock Origi scores for the second time in three days, taking advantage of James Milner's delivery into the six-yard box to firmly head home and spark a tribute from the Kop. 3-1.
Goal
GOAL!! Divock Origi!!
Substitution
And there has been a change for Liverpool - Divock Origi is on for Sheyi Ojo.
The action resumes at Anfield, with the hosts kicking off the second half.
Here are the stats of the game so far...
Half Time
We have reached the interval - what an action-packed half. Goals from Alberto Moreno and Daniel Sturridge have given the home side an advantage, with Bojan on target for the Potters.
One minute added on at the end of this first half.
Stoke trouble the Reds with another free-kick whipped in from the left touchline but this time Ryan Shawcross is inches wide with the header.
Now Daniel Sturridge has his goal, with a straightforward header from yards out after Sheyi Ojo had brilliantly dribbled into space along the left and crossed into the box. Lovely stuff.
Goal
GOAL!! Daniel Sturridge!!
The Reds move up to the other end and work room for Daniel Sturridge to strike goalwards and he's close with a rifled effort from 20 yards that is just wide.
Disallowed Goal
There is no let-up in the tempo here and now former Reds striker Peter Crouch nods the ball into the back of the net, only to be denied by the linesman's flag. Replays show the big man was just offside.
Yellow Card
Erik Pieters goes into the book for a poor challenge on Sheyi Ojo.
Goal
The Potters strike back through Bojan, who is left unmarked inside the box to meet Xherdan Shaqiri's delivery from the left with a glancing header past Simon Mignolet.
Reminder that you can use our Opta chalkboard to take a closer look at how the match is unfolding...
An ideal start for the Reds as Alberto Moreno controls a short free-kick from the left flank, looks up and picks the far corner from the edge of the box with a fierce, dipping shot. Get in!
Goal
GOAL!! Alberto Moreno!
First shot of the encounter comes from Bojan, who lines up an ambitious one from 25 yards that swerves off target to the right.
Sheyi Ojo has started the game to the right of the attack, with Roberto Firmino left of centre behind Daniel Sturridge.
Kick-Off
And here we go, the visitors get the game underway. Come on, Reds!
The two teams are emerging from the tunnel and we're just minutes away from kick-off at Anfield. It's a perfect afternoon for football too, with just a touch of wind.

No excuses...
Jürgen Klopp writing in his programme notes today: “Stoke play exciting, attacking football now, but also have a mentality of battling for every minute and not allowing the opponent any freedom. In many ways this is one of the toughest games we could have had so soon after the Thursday evening in Germany. But it is absolutely not allowed to have any excuses today.”
